Meet Katherine Burik
Talent Leadership Edge is the natural evolution of The Interview Doctor’s interest in helping companies and candidates make a great match.
Katherine Burik is an energetic and creative leader with specific expertise in strategic planning and coaching leadership teams to improve performance and results.
Katherine provides executive coaching services to manufacturing and service sectors. In her previous life as Vice President or Director of Human Resources at several businesses in Chicago and Northeast Ohio, Katherine reported to the President and CEO, responsible for the entire array of human resource functions. She draws upon her business acumen and experience in various sectors to help clients achieve personal and organizational goals.
Katherine also coaches individuals working on their careers and companies interested in improving their talent processes. She speaks frequently to groups about career development and acquisition. Her thoughts appear regularly in her blog at The Interview Doctor, the consulting firm Katherine established in 2004 to improve every aspect of the talent acquisition process so everyone can make a better match.
Katherine has published white papers and three books on job search as part of The Job Seeker Manifesto, including: The Job Search Marketing Plan: Declare to the World How You Will Find Your Next Job, Resumes 3.0: Tools to find your next job, and Tell Me About Yourself: Secrets to Successful Job Interviews.
She earned her BA in History from Northwestern University and MS in Industrial Relations from Loyola University of Chicago. She has been certified as a Senior HR Professional by the Society of Human Resource Managers and is certified as a Registered Corporate Coach™. Katherine is a member of the Society of Human Resource Managers, the Association for Talent Development, the International Coach Federation – Cleveland, and the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches (WABC).
